Voting Information

Who Can Vote in the 2025 Woodstock city Municipal Election?

All registered voters in Cherokee County who reside within the city limits of Woodstock are eligible to vote in the municipal election for City Council members and Mayor. In 2025, the following seats are up for re-election:

Mayor
Council Member Ward 1 (Trent is running against this incumbent.)
Council Member Ward 3
Council Member Ward 5

You do NOT have to live in a specific ward to vote for that ward’s candidates – the entire city gets to decide!

Not sure if you’re a city resident? You can verify your status and find out your ward by entering your address here.

If you haven’t registered yet, you can do so through the Cherokee County Board of Elections. Don’t wait—make sure your voice counts!

If you were registered previously, make sure you are still on the voter rolls by checking Georgia’s My Voter Page.

Is this a partisan (Republican vs Democrat) election?

Woodstock’s municipal elections are nonpartisan, which means candidates don’t run with a party label on the ballot. The only notation you’ll see is (I) for incumbent. That said, nonpartisan ballots don’t mean the candidates themselves are without political views or party affiliations. Each brings their own beliefs, priorities, and background to the role. You can read more about Trent’s views on this site or email or call or text him with questions.

If you want to get a fuller picture of where a candidate stands, consider visiting their official campaign website or social media pages, looking up news coverage or interviews, and talking with your neighbors and community groups.
